Yankees drafted Ty Hensley with their first round pick, RHP. Kevin Goldstein said it was "highway robbery" that the Yankees got him at 30. Don't know much about him except he's a high school pitcher, mid 90s fastball, curve apparently his best pitch, change up that is developing.

This is a great pick. I hope we can sign him. He's got ace upside with a plus curve already and from the sounds of it, good mechanics and command

Reading about him, it sounds like second tier starter upside, not ace. I know absolutely nothing about amateurs though.

Goldstein said his potential is higher than mid rotation guy.

Yes he did. Not sure how he doesnt have an ace potential. Already has a plus hammer curve, can run the heat up there into the mid 90s and he's 18.

Yeah, general idea seems to be that command could be an issue if he doesn't develop it well, but his upside is, if not ace, close to it (DOESN'T MEAN HE'LL REACH HIS UPSIDE 122, UPSIDE DOES NOT EQUAL WHAT HE WILL DEFINITELY BE).

Really intrigued by Aune. Sounds like a uber athlete.

He does. He sounds like he has a good bat as well. Our issue lately has been drafting guys who are speed first or glove first and then trying to see how they handle the stick. This kid sounds like he is a pretty refined offensive player. I like that

Apparently the Rockies almost took Hensley at 10, but one of the guys they thought the Pirates were going to take dropped.

Looks like we're gonna be signing a few of the HS guys after round 10 as well. I hope we can pop Mesa Jr., but it doesnt look likely.
